Lacy’s Express, Incorporated is a family owned and operated, diversified, transportation company, incorporated in 1965 in Salem County, New Jersey.

Our current family ownership commenced in 1968 and continues to operate today under the leadership of three generations of the same family.

Starting out as a single truck operation when incorporated, Lacy’s Express has consistently and conservatively grown over the years, while maintaining our corporate mission of continual improvement of safety practices. Safety and Service is the central theme of our business.

Currently, Lacy’s Express employs thirty five company drivers that are supported by an office staff of seven and six trained shop mechanics.

Our fleet size consists of thirty two company owned late model truck tractors, fleet service truck, sixty-four tank trailers, fourteen van trailers, four flat bed trailers, and nine intermodal container chasis. This fleet is supported by an emergency response/service vehicle. Additionally, Lacy’s Express has intermodal lifting capability for sea containers and tanks in our secured storage yard in the form of a Taylor Model TEC-950 ninety-five thousand pound capacity crane.

Our business operates at our only facility and terminal location at 26 East Mill Street in Pedricktown, New Jersey 08067.

My son and I have combined experience of over 60 years in the trucking industry. Lacy’s Express, Inc. has been in operation since 1935. I purchased Lacy’s express in 1968 and was determined that by hard work and satisfying customers needs and request will make this business thrive. Over the years I have been committed to only providing safe and quality service in order to make Lacy’s Express a company I can feel very proud to own. I have also taught my son the importance of providing this same type of service.

Lacy’s Express, Inc. operates under DOT number 00043217, which authorizes contract carriage of general commodities, package and bulk, between all points in the United States. We are registered and permitted to handle waste, liquid and solid, in 28 states. All of our drivers are screened and only those with proven safe driving experience are selected to drive for Lacy’s Express. All drivers know they must be courteous, knowledgeable and very sensitive to the customer’s needs and requests. Lacy’s Express stands for quality because all of our customers are treated with excellent quality service.

Friendly and efficient service is essential in operating a successful business. My office staff provides immediate information on shipment and insures all customer requests are followed up. Our computerized billing system insures that customer rates are correct and that they receive all proper documentation that is needed.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

The maintenance department is a DOT certified shop dedicated to keeping our vehicles in a safe first class condition at all times. The certified mechanics are dedicated to insure vehicles are ready to meet customers needs by making sure all mechanical problems are taken care of immediately so there will not be late deliveries because of breakdowns. All vehicles are inspected monthly and must be ready on short notice.

My goal at Lacy's express, Inc. is continual growth through customer satisfaction. I am responsible for driver's hours of service regulations. I make every effort to supply the right driver for the right job. I take pride in my realtionship with the drivers and attempt to satisfy their needs along with customer's needs. It is my personal goal to provide competitive rates and safe transportation for our customers.

With 30 years of experience as a police officer, fifteen years as an emergency management coordinator and responding to all types of emergencies Lacy’s is proud to have this addition to our staff. With overall responsibilities it is essential that deliveries be made at the required time with no safety or related incidents. Our drivers are fully trained and meet all DOT and OSHA requirements. No driver is permitted to be on his/ her own without a thorough knowledge of the DOT rules and regulations. Mandatory training sessions are held bi-monthly for all personnel including mechanics. Pre- employment drug testing is performed as well as random drug and alcohol testing to insure our drivers is not under the influence at any time. Our safety record is among the best in the industry.
